IMA Mozambique starts operations

IMA Mozambique started operations in Beira with effect from 1 April. The main focus of the company would be cross border cargo traffic to Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and DRC. As and when business develops, we will start operations in Nacala and Maputo.The first shipments were handled smoothly and efficiently. Our aim is to offer the quickest transit times for cargoes to Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and DRC via Beira. At a later stage we intend to develop exports from the hinterland countries through the port of Beira.

Box Terminal Malawi

Our inland container depot is in the final stages of completion in Blantyre, Malawi. Set on a 6 acre plot, Box Terminal Malawi will be offering a customs bonded container and cargo storage facility to its customers. It will have state-of-the-art equipment and systems to assist importers and exporters manage their shipments cost effectively. Shipping lines will be able to use our facility as their cargo handling and container storage depot.

The facility is expected to be inaugurated in July 2009.
